The teacher asked "Jeremy" “What is a valley?” Jeremy responded “there are two big mountains and it is in between the big mountains.”

The students were on the carpet listening to the book "Chugga, Chugga, Choo, Choo. After the book was completed the teacher asked the children open ended questions. The children raised their hands and the teacher called on "Jeremy" during this time to find out if he knew what a valley was.

Cognitive Development
During our "nature digging" activity "Jeremy" was digging in dirt looking for rocks, bugs and leaves. As he removed each item, he would dig in the dirt some more and look for the items. After he removed all the items he dug in the dirt one more time and said "I think I found everything."

On this day I brought in my activities for my lead week, I asked "Jeremy" what center he would like to go to and he said nature digging. He was able to have two friends come over and help him dig in the dirt and find the nature items.

"Jeremy" the other little boy said "I love spring" Jeremy said "Me to we are going to go to the beach this spring." The other boy said "You are crazy, it will be cold!" Jeremy laughed and said "no way."
